More Xmas Cards...

Hopefully it pays off. I've been Xmas card making for the last few weeks, not crazily but maybe one a day. These are a few of the many I've made. Inspiration is the name, creativity is the game! Enjoy!

My naughty penguins having a blast.
I used the Cricut cartridge Zooballoo "P"
to get these most adorable bundle of cuteness.

The rose was from McGill paper blossom.
Papers from Bazzill and creativity was from me,
yours truly! Seasons Greetings!

The stamp, I had bought last year from a scrap fair.
I heat embossed in white on black, did the same on
another and cut out the tree and moon to layer on here
for a 3D effect (I don't think you can see it here).
I really love this one. Very simple and elegant.
These uses the 2 smaller petals, however, shaped differently.
Another paper blossom flower, this time the beautiful
poinsettia, some lace and tear edged effect brings out
an elegance in this card.

Slippery "Slide"

I've always wanted to make a slider card and haven't been able to find a card design I liked until now. I found the design off of some site that was doing "operations christmas cards" for Troops. This is really awesome I had to share. Oh and it was so nice I had to make it twice. LOL.

Iris Folding

I've discovered, what some of you may have done for years, IRIS FOLDING and it is the most awesome thing ever. I've only made 1 thing so here it is for now and more to come.

{okay... can't get my pictures to load. I'll make some more foldings and add them over the weekend. Sorry, guys!}
Okay, finally got around to posting the iris foldings.  Now that I have it up, here's the story behind my discovery of this beautiful technique: I received a list of vendors from the rubber stamp and scrapbooking expo and as I was browsing through their websites one night, I came upon this and and especially this template and I went on a hunting rampage to find it; FOUND IT! Thank you...

Made this one for one of my work Sups for letting me borrow her Cuttlebug for nearly a month. I had a blast with it and had to give it back. Now I really need to go get myself one. Contemplating between the Cuttlebug or the BigShot.

An Eventful Saturday...

Practice does make perfect!!! LOL...
Made this for my cousin's
baby shower this past Saturday

I'll be heading off to the Rubber Stamp & Scrapbooking Expo at the State Fairground this coming Saturday. I'm aiming for cardstocks and Copic markers and certainly getting some of them daubers. That's about it... probably participate in some demos and free make-n-takes. In the meantime... here are some other stuff I can do other than paper crafting.

First two I made. The hot pink one half way done,
my 4yrs son (yes, son) claimed it. Other one is my daughter's.

Wedding Bliss

I made this card for my sister-in-law's upcoming wedding. I found some mesh fabric I had laying around and decided to use it for the veil. Embossed the dress overlay. The bride and groom was cut from the "Stretch Your Imagination" Cricut cartridge. I think she'll love it. Right?

Garden of Roses...

I can't believe something so beautiful could be so darn hard to make. I could make them forever if it weren't for all the shaping of the petals but the end result is so... OMG!!! I'll be adding more as they come. I'm gonna try the sunflower and poinsettia soon. Check out MCGILL's website  for their tutorials on how to make these unbelievably realistic flowers.

X-mas in July...

And I thought I wasn't going to fall for it, then I found myself making this card. It all started with a blank A2 card laying around and it all just came to pass... no regrets because St. Nick does look very jolly. I tried using the Expression to cut felt; didn't do so well, so I had to cut it on cardstock and used it as templates on the felt. Turned out pretty good.

Okay, I guess, I have to admit, I could really get into making Christmas cards from now till the Christmas time.

I just realized something....

"I'm Crafting Away" is the title of my page, right? And it didn't say it was supposed to only be for paper crafts. Okay, peeps, we're mixing it up now. Come as they may... If I could never get any of my yarn works done they'll make it on here too.

Fishing Away

Another of the step ladder cutout card. I initially made this one for Father's Day for my husband but he saw it so I didn't end up giving it to them.

SHIRTly Inspired

The wonders of INSPIRATION:

For Father's Day from Trueli, Neo and Jace along with "coupons." The inside was taken before the boys signed it. I was too lazy to take another after they did. Came with a new tackle box.

This one I made for my brother-in-law Pao's BA graduation: Welcome to the professional world!

This black one was made just for the heck of it because, I admit, I got a bit carried away. The ties were just  way too fun to make.

Be Back Soon...

I haven't been able to get my dumb computer to cooperate with letting me upload and edit my images of new cards I made. I'll take some time soon and get it going. I'm a bit ashamed for being outdated but I'll make it up. In the meantime...

Learning is FUN!

This is a card I made for my daughter's 2nd Grade teacher, Mrs. Gallagher. I was told that she'd be envied by many and I'm going a little crazy in making this complex of a card, but hey, you only do it once... a year. LOL!

Mother's Day

Mother's day has come and gone but thank God I took a picture of this card I had made for my Mom.
